Established in 1920 to unite the lumber, building material and millwork industries, the Florida Building Material Alliance (FBMA) is a statewide association comprised of retail dealers, wholesalers, distributors and affiliates in the lumber and building material industry. FBMA is governed by a Board of Directors - individuals from all facets of the building material industry. In addition, the FBMA Board of Directors receive valuable input from a variety of committees, including Executive, Government Relations, Education and Membership, just to name a few. As the primary association for the building material industry, FBMA vows to uphold its mission of serving and promoting the interests of the building material industry throughout the State of Florida.

What we do for you
FBMA's Government Relations Committee and staff work to represent our members’ needs in Tallahassee, Florida.
Ensuring that our members’ products are not excluded from the market by building codes and government rules and regulations is another major goal of FBMA.
FBMA members benefit from management training and educational programs. From sales training to blueprint reading, FBMA provides its members with quality, low cost employee training.

Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the selling of retail products; either lumber, millwork, components or other building products, whose sales are primarily to retail customers will be eligible for this category of membership.
Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the selling of supplies, materials and/or services directly through retail dealers, millwork or component manufacturers. An Asoociate Member will be eligible for all member services provided by FBMA.
